Aevin is the musical persona of Teo Tsalmpouris, a Greek digital media artist whose lifelong fascination with sound has guided every step of his creative path.
Growing up in the analogue age and coming of age in the late '80s and early '90s, Teo was shaped by a generation that witnessed the dawn of digital technology, the explosion of electronic music, and the DIY spirit that defined underground scenes across the globe.
Inspired early on by pioneers like Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, Teo naturally gravitated toward the worlds of psychedelic trance, rave culture, and the evolving landscape of electronica. In an era before streaming and social media, music discovery meant swapping tapes, attending late-night radio shows, and forging connections in record shops—experiences that continue to inform his approach today.

Beyond music production, Teo’s journey has expanded into visual art and creative technology. In 2017, he launched a Facebook group for IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) enthusiasts, building a grassroots community that later migrated to Discord in 2021. This commitment to collaboration and experimentation led, in 2025, to the founding of Nodalin—an experimental, node-based environment for real-time visuals and creative coding, which continues to evolve with input from the community.
